What is Plan2Biz?

Plan2Biz is a free tool to create business plans. You can work on your own or invite as many as you like to collaborate on your plan. Every section has advice and guidance, you can comment on work done by others, assign tasks and when you're done, simply export to hand in your perfect plan. And because Plan2Biz is web-based, you don't have to install anything and it works from any computer.

Who is it meant for?

Plan2Biz was created for everyone who wants to create a business plan. This includes business students, participants in business plan competitions and start-ups and small companies. But since it's for everyone, we're happy to see large multinational companies use Plan2Biz as well. Everyone is welcome.

Can I use it for other projects?

Of course. While Plan2Biz was (and is constantly being) developed for business plans, it is also a fantastic tool to write and collaborate on other projects like your term paper, Master's thesis or the next Moby Dick. We really don't care what you do, as long as you like it.

I'm new to making business plans. Is there any guidance provided?

Yes. One of the key elements of Plan2Biz is the guidance provided for each section of your business plan. This advice doesn't come from us but from experienced entrepreneurs and professors in their respective fields. These people will tell you what to write and how to write it so you don't have to search the web for days.

Can I work with others on my plan?

Yes, naturally. Plan2Biz was designed for you to collaborate on your idea because that's how ideas become even greater. So you can work on the next Microsoft with Laura while planning to save the world with Mike. You can have as many projects and partners as you like.

Can anyone else see my work?

Only your partners can see your work. Others can't see your plans and you cannot see other people’s plans. This means that nobody is browsing the site to borrow or steal. Your work is your work.

For how long will my plan be saved?

A business plan can take a month to do or a year. So instead of having a time limit, we will only delete those projects that have had no activity by none of its members for a year. Let’s face it - if you've done no work on a plan for a year, you've most likely moved on to other and greater things.

Will I be charged for anything?

Nope. Plan2Biz is a free service, supported by advertisers. If any of the ads on our site are relevant to you and sound interesting, by all means click through and find out more. That's how you get Plan2Biz for free - now and forever.

Will you be adding more features?

Of course we will. In fact, we won't stop until we have perfected the process of creating a business plan. And while you and other users send us feedback on how to improve, we'll carry on making you happy.

We have a special “Feedback” button, which you can use to tell us your thoughts. You can also go to the “Contact us” page to find out how to get in touch. Your thoughts are always welcome.

Can I lose my work on Plan2Biz?

Not if you don't outright delete it. Plan2Biz is a web-based service. In the editor, your work is autosaved every sixty seconds; if your computer crashes, you can fire it up again, open the editor, edit the content item you were working on and click the safety ring icon in the toolbar to recover the contents of your section.
